Ella's Baptism

This weekend, Jamie's parents and grandparents came to visit Ella. Grandma Kendra and Great Grandma Shirley were nice enough to spend Saturday afternoon cooking meals that now fill our freezers while Grandpa Kirk and I went "shopping" with Great Grandpa Calvin.

Today, my parents and brother also came up for Ella's Baptism. Even though Ella had kicked and punched her mom when we went to church over the last couple of months, Ella was a good little girl and didn't make a peep.

Ella Comes Home

Today we made the journey home. So far, Ella has spent her time sleeping in her comfy new crib, eating, and, of course, pooping. Her dad has assumed the responsibility of keeping a detailed diary of her pooping.

40 Weeks and 1 Day...Ella Sue Thomas

Ella Sue Thomas was born today at 4:35am. She was 6 lb 3.5 oz and 19.5 in long. She and her mom are both doing well.

40 Weeks

Contractions started at 4am. We went to church, and mom had one last meal to keep her going before heading to the hospital :)

39 Weeks

My family came up for Easter today. Jamie was able to put her feet up on the couch while I slaved away in the kitchen. It was great to see everyone, and for them to get one last look at Jamie with the baby in her tummy.

We're now down to the final week. Jamie is still doing well. Baby seems to be pretty comfortable and hasn't showed any signs of wanting to come out yet.

38 Weeks

Jamie is starting get more anxious for baby to come, but she hasn't slowed down too much, even if walking can turn into waddling at times :). Everything looked good at our doctor's appointment; baby is head down and in the right position.

Our coworkers threw a baby shower for us this Friday. As you can see by the picture of the diaper cake, we work with a talented and creative group. Thanks again for all of the gifts, especially the Huggies gift basket!
