20 Week Ultrasound

We went in for our 20-week ultrasound this morning. Jamie came in with a full bladder after drinking 40 ounces of water one hour before the appointment. (Drinking this much water helps with some measurements of the baby's organs.) Everything looked great during our appointment. We watched the baby for about 90 minutes as measurements were taken of each of the bones and organs. The baby had a healthy heart beat of 153 beats/min, weighed 12 ounces, and he/she is about 8 inches long. We didn't find out the sex of the baby, although the mother claims to have seen something during the ultrasound :).

In this picture, you can see a side view of the baby's head looking up.

In the next two pictures, you can see the baby's leg and one of his/her feet that the mother claims to be kicking her.

These next pictures show 3D images of the baby's face. You can see a nice smile in the second image, and, in the last, you can see the baby cover his/her ear with a little arm.
